This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Vibes and orchestrations – a combination that makes for one of the coolest Bobby Hutcherson albums of the 70s – a really magical set that expands the sound of Bobby's work in ways we wouldn't have expected! The style is similar to that used with Grant Green and Lou Donaldson at the ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of Rahsaan Roland Kirk's last truly fantastic albums – a set that still has all the amazingly messed-up qualities of his best late 60s work – delivered with the honest heart and sense of soul that always make us love his music! The set was recorded for Atlantic in the early 70s, ... LP, Vinyl record album
Set of free "out" tracks by this classic 70's loft avant group. Leroy Jenkins, Sirone, and Jerome Cooper mesh together brilliantly, and have honed their style sharply by the time of this A&M release. Gatefold cover, with the tracks "Trio for Trio", "Chinese Rock" ... LP, Vinyl record album
Fairly loft-oriented jazz session from Sam Rivers – but with a more focused approach than you might initially imagine. Thurman Barker creates a great rhythmic foundation alongside longtime Rivers collaborator Dave Holland on bass, and Joe Daley adds another dimension to the tonal palette ... LP, Vinyl record album
A 2LP set from 1976 that brings together two previously unissued sessions from the end of the 60s. One features Tyner in a gret group that includes Freddie Waits on drums and Harold Vick on soprano, plus some beautiful backing by a string quartet led by Kermit Moore. The toher session's got an ... An oft-overlooked jazz vocal session by Mary Ann McCall, with superb arrangements by Johnny Richards, and a nice batch of tracks that have a surprisingly dark quality to them. Titles inlcude "Blue (and Broken Hearted)", "Lover Is Blue", "Melancholy Nights", "Am I ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the grooviest albums of the late 60s – a lost vocal treasure from the team of Dave MacKay & Vicky Hamilton! The pair were sort of like a hip version of Jackie & Roy – usually singing together on their tracks, with a mixed male/female vocal approach that sounds totally ... LP, Vinyl record album
