Flashlight/Love To Love You Baby

12-inch (Item 72709) Casablanca, 1978/1994 — Condition: Very Good+
Out Of Stock

12-inch, Vinyl record

✈

A great little single that brings together 2 of the best Casablanca tracks ever! "Flashlight" is presented here in its supreme 10 minute version – and "Love To Love You Baby" its full 16 minute glory! 2 tracks that changed the face of funky dancefloor music forever – presented in this great Polygram issue from 1994.  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Promo. Label has some very light wear, but is fine overall.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

"I'm Spasticus. . .I'm Spasticus. . ." no doubt. Classic 80s post punk groove work from the unlikely combo of Ian Dury, Chaz Jankel and Sly & Robbie, with a nice instrumental (mostly) version on the flip side to mix with. 12-inch, Vinyl record

Melba Moore sounds great here – but that's to be expected, since she's working with the Philly team of McFadden & Whitehead! "Standing Right Here" begins slow and low – almost instrumental for a few minutes, as beats and bass build up the tune nicely before Melba's vocals ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

A strange one from Karen Young – an acetate that has a lush version of "God Bless America" on the main side, but with a groover on the flip that's a lot more like her clubby material! 12-inch, Vinyl record
