Kiss – Ace Frehley

LP (Item 723457) Casablanca, 1978 — Condition: Near Mint-
Temporarily Out Of Stock

LP, Vinyl record album

✈
❔

(Includes the printed inner sleeve and poster. Cover has a cut corner and light wear.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Tim Buckley

Happy Sad
Elektra, Late 60s. Very Good+
One of Tim Buckley's greatest albums ever – thanks to some incredible work by Dave Friedman on vibes! George Harrison

Electronic Sound
Apple, 1969. Very Good+
A real oddity from George Harrison – a record of abstract electronics, cut right around the same time as his bigger mainstream solo hits! The record is a highly experimental one – a session that has Harrison working with Bernie Krause, and exploring territory that's much more in the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Spanky & Our Gang

Like To Get To Know You
Mercury, 1968. Very Good Gatefold
Wild! If you don't know them, Spanky & Our Gang were one of the stranger pop groups of the late 60s – and they had a style that mixed sweet vocal stylings with bubble gum pop with groovy arrangements with a vague sense of nostalgia. This tiny little pop masterpiece was produced and ... LP, Vinyl record album

Donald Fagen

Nightfly
Warner, 1982. Very Good+
A bit of jazzy magic from Fagen – stepping out from the cover of Steely Dan after the Gaucho album, and sounding pretty darn great on his own! The record is almost nostalgic, going back to a 50s of Brubeck, abstract expressionism, and pre-Castro Havana – filled with images that are a ... LP, Vinyl record album

Fripp & Eno

No Pussyfooting
Island (UK), 1973. Near Mint-
The first appearance of the Frippertronics delay line built by Fripp and Eno out of a couple of tape decks. Somehow even though this is nearly pure process music, it manages to sound far from dated, cliched or boring – ambient bliss meets only slightly noodly prog guitar in a hall of mirrors. ... David Bowie

Aladdin Sane
RCA, 1973. Very Good
One of our favorite David Bowie albums ever! Aladdin Sane was a real turning point for Bowie – recorded on the heels of the tremendously popular Ziggy Stardust album, but really pushing the boundaries past the more straight-ahead rock and glam of that record. Instead of just sitting on his ... LP, Vinyl record album

Tim Buckley

Greetings From LA
Warner/Straight, 1972. Sealed
A later effort from Tim Buckley with a bigger sound and more of a straight ahead approach – with a big nod in the groove direction and some R&B creeping in! Daddy Dewdrop

Daddy Dewdrop
Sunflower/MGM, Early 70s. Near Mint-
The group behind one of the coolest novelty tunes of the 70s – the excellent "Chick A Boom (Don't Ya Jes Love It)" – one of those cuts that showed up everywhere at the time, but didn't exactly put the band on the map! That great cut leads off the set – and other numbers ... LP, Vinyl record album
