❔
For Haley Mills completists only! The album features Hayley singing 2 songs from The Parent Trap – "Let's Get Together" and "Cobbler Cobbler" – plus the theme to "The Parent Trap", an even groovier song, sung by Tommy Sands & Annette. All tunes are from films that starred Hayley – including Summer Magic, The Parent Trap, and In Search Of The Castaways – and other titles include "Whistling At The Boys" by The School Belles, "On The Front Porch" by Burl Ives, and "Castaway", "Flitterin", "Enjoy It", and "Femininity" – all of which feature vocals by Haley Mills.  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Still sealed, but missing about a quarter of the shrink at the top right.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Stony Island – Original Soundtrack
Glades, 1978. Very Good+
A sweet set of soundtrack funk – from a film named after one of our favorite streets in Chicago! Although the record's got an approach that's perhaps a bit tighter and smoother than anything going down on Stony in the late 70s, it does manage to share a good deal of styles with the Chi-soul ... Eddie Harris

Bossa Nova
Vee Jay, 1963. Very Good+
Very nice, very tight little bossa nova set by Eddie Harris from his early days at Vee Jay! The groove is very open, and Eddie's still at the stage where he can really cut the stuff. His solos ring out hard and cold above some great Lalo Schifrin arrangements, and Lalo also plays piano on the ... LP, Vinyl record album
