cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Brilliant stuff! Roforofo Fight hails from 1972 – an early full-length Fela LP, filled with 4 tight groovers that stand with his best work! "Go Slow" begins with this mad trumpet solo that you'll recognize from a famous sample, especially as it mixes in with keyboards; "Rofor ... CD
2 stunners – back to back on one CD! "JJD (Johnny Just Drop)" is a great live track recorded in 1977 at Fela's own Kalakuta Republic – and it's a great number that begins casually, with Fela talking a bit, introducing the conga player, before the band goes wild on the cut, an ... CD
About as classic as you can get for 70s Fela – 2 albums that are overflowing with righteous politics, heavy rhythms, and super-extended grooves! The CD features the complete tracks from the albums Yellow Fever and Na Poi – both recorded in 1976, but compiled here with a bonus alternate ... CD
Really mindblowing work from Fela – a seminal 70s set that may well open up even more than any other album from the time – as the leader and Africa 70 stretch out on a single track that takes up the entire record! "Confusion" is almost proggish at the start – with a ... CD
Some of Fela's earliest work! The Koola Lobitos record features work from 1964 to 1968, most of it never issued before, and a startling look at the early days of Afro Funk. The music is a mixture of highlife, South African soul, and a good deal more funk than Fela's every given credit for during ... CD
An overstuffed collection of Patti's solo work – featuring 29 tracks pulled mostly from her early 80s stint at Philadelphia International Records, plus a few tracks from her earlier Epic recordings, and one or two bits from later years! The bulk of the set has a sweet modern Gamble & ... CD
An early one from Waits – his second album – and it's a great one! Like a lot of his early oeuvre, this is a kind of like a street-savvy, hipster cabaret affair, with less of the eccentricity that would reveal itself later in his career. Still a great record though, rendered with a ... CD
Quite possibly the best-remembered album from Pharoah Sanders' legendary run at Impulse Records – a set that crossed over big, and sold to countless folks who might not have bought a jazz album this hip otherwise! The record was Sanders' first in the wake of Coltrane's passing – and it' ... CD
