La Tino Cha Cha Cha

LP (Item 713176) Crown, Early 60s — Condition: Very Good+
Originally: 11.99
A nice mix of exotic and Latin modes – with Tino La Tino on flute, in a group that features more flute and alto, three trumpets, and plenty of percussion – including solo congas by Tito Rivera! Titles include "Cansao", "Guajira De Mi Cuba", "Lullaby Of The Leaves", "Canto Misterio", "Vamo A Bailar", "Llanura Cubana", and "Obsession".  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Mono black label pressing with deep groove. Cover has some splitting in the bottom seam and is bumped at the top right corner.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A great little record – a heck of a lot nicer than Tito's work in the 50s, with a much more hard driving mambo sound, touched by a bit of jazz. The style here's not dissimilar to Tito Puente's work at the time – and titles include "Ay No No No", "A Little Bit Of ... LP, Vinyl record album
