If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
The classic Scott La Rock tribute album – with BDP classics and remixes – originally issued as a 2LP set that was put together following the South Bronx-repping hip hop pioneer's shooting death. Alternate versions, remixes and BDP medley's from their most classic late 80s period. 15 ... CD
MC Lyte's second full length record – a bit overlooked in the grand scheme, if only because the preceding Lyte As A Rock was a tough act to follow – so now's a great time to catch up with it! To our ears, Eyes On This is every bit as nice as the debut, and it that last of Lyte's no ... CD
Pre-MF Doom/Metal Fingers, et al, classic material from then-Zev Love X and DJ Sub Roc! The Mr Hood LP's original release year of '91 in retrospect seems like the last chance eccentric crews had to drop a leftfield classic before everybody had to be hardcore – and this certainly is a ... CD
The incredibly dope and funky dawn of the 90s work by Ultimate Force, aka DJ Diamond D & MC Master Rob – featuring early production greatness from Diamond, with a little help from Jazzy Jay – a lost classic that's only now seeing official light of day! Diamond D took off as a solo ... CD
Maybe not the first full length album by a female MC, but a really well-remembered set from the early days – and one that hardly tries to go for any crossover modes at all! Instead, Sparky-D really keeps it live and close to the streets – beginning the set with an acapella track that ... CD
The first EP by Pete Rock & CL Smooth – and one of the greatest debut EPs in hip hop history – fleshed out here with bonus mixes and instrumentals! The original EP material is as stunning as ever, really showing the Pete & CL were in near peak form right outta gate – ... CD
A collection of female rappers on the B-Boy label – with L.A. Star, Sparky Dee and Five Star Moet, with 2 tracks produced by BDP and Ced Gee. Remaining tracks produced by Keyboard Money Mike. 10 tracks on the original album – including Sparky Dee's "Throw Down" and "Spar ... CD
The amazing debut of those most hyperactive of the Native Tongues, the short-lived, ultra fresh Leaders Of The New School! Busta & Co. splintered apart after just two albums, but this will always be a shiny trophy in the mantle with the all time freshest East Coast hip hop. It sounds great to ... CD
Tall, Dark, & Handsome may not be one of the best-remembered crews from the 80s – but they've got a fresh, playful approach that really keeps things interesting! These guys really remind us of the energy that the right group of MCs could bring to a party back in the day – yet they'v ... CD
A synthy soul funk project from the team of Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo – a set that's just trippy enough – and it's possibly the best full length from either party, ever! You don't need us to tell you that DM has had a finger in a handful of the best fringe pop/leftfield hip hop projects ... CD
Soulful hip hop from Cali's Fashawn – the storytelling sense, and in the way the tunes hit you deeply where it counts – with appearances by Blu, Exile, Aloe Blacc & others. Exile produced, and he did so excellent, with resonantly soulful and sometimes jazzy sounds, with surprising ... CD
