A great little later set from Charlie Rouse – recorded for the Landmark label, and done in a real "back to basics" style! The format is modern, Monkish hardbop – a full set of Thelonious originals, performed lovingly by Rouse, Monk's most important sideman of the 60s. The tunes are taken a bit more freely than on their classic readings by Monk – which is a good thing, as it makes the album much more than just a rehash of older themes. All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
