(Includes the printed inner sleeve. Cover has light wear.)
Near Mint - (minus)
Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
One of the great albums from Van Morrison during that incredible peak period – and a record that stands out as a less emotionally fraught effort after the heavy mood of Astral Weeks and the super far-reaching Moondance albums. Paul Simon's mid 80s landmark – a record that brought together Simon's unique voice and pop folk songwriting skill with South African, Chicano, zydeco other global musical styles – held together by some of the best songs Simon ever put together! With lesser material, this would feel ... LP, Vinyl record album
A well-titled album, given that the overall feel here is maybe a bit more stripped-down and almost rootsy at times – even though the trio's still working with producer George Martin! The set was recorded in just a week at Caribou Ranch – and it's almost a return to the core harmonies ... LP, Vinyl record album
Hey Spud boy! You need this record. Definitely underrated in the grand scheme, Oh No! finds the boys rocking a much more straightforward, nerdy computer funk sound. It sort of takes a page from the 80s Kraftwerk playbook with the grid-patterned 80s computer tomfoolery, albeit with a far more ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the few albums as a lead act by John Simon – the genius studio talent who was behind so many great records of the late 60s! The set's overflowing with help from famous compatriots – including Rick Danko on bass, Bob Keys on tenor, Barry Beckett on organ, and both Eddie Hinton ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of Tim Buckley's greatest albums ever – thanks to some incredible work by Dave Friedman on vibes! Friedman's sound really brings out the jazziness in Buckley's writing and phrasing – making for a beautiful blend with the album's 12 string guitar work and acoustic percussion – ... A brilliant bit of psychedelia – still as fresh today as it was many decades back – and the crowning achievement of Pink Floyd during the early Syd Barrett years! The album's got all the best elements of the group firmly in place – the penchant for long-jamming tracks that still ... LP, Vinyl record album
An insanely wonderful early album from Glenn Campbell – the kind of music that's not really rock, pop, or country – but instead a unique summation of all, at a level that only Campbell could do this well The album kicks off with the sublime pop hit "Gentle On My Mind" – ... LP, Vinyl record album
A dream of a record from Chad & Jeremy – a fantastic bit of psychedelic pop produced by Gary Usher! The album's got quite a different feel than the rest of the duo's work – as their standard Brit pop style is augmented by lots of extra strings and woodwinds, super-baroque in a ...
