LP (Item 692532) Warner, 1986 — Condition: Near Mint-
Gatefold

...

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Little Feat

Time Loves A Hero
Warner, 1977. Very Good+
A later album from Little Feat – and one that adds some new dimensions to their ever-searching vibe! On Time Loves A Hero, Little Feat takes some surprising steps – even for them – into a bit of a fusiony rock vibe some of the time. Still, the soulful boogie rock and stripped ... Van Dyke Parks

Song Cycle
Warner, 1968. Very Good
Van Dyke Parks' masterpiece – and one of the hippest records to come out of LA in the 60s! The album's a strangely anachronistic one – steeped in the kind of past-days scoring found on early records by Harpers Bizarre and Randy Newman (both of which Parks had a hand in!), wrapped ... Waiting For Columbus
Warner, 1978. Very Good+ 2LP Gatefold
The classic late 70s double live album from Little Feat! Their reputation as one of the great live acts of that decade or any other is realized beautifully here – the band playing off of each other masterfully, and they're just as sharp vocally – but what's most impressive is how they ... Last Record Album
Warner, 1975. Near Mint-
Of course, this is not the last record album – it's not even the last album by Little Feat – but it's a damn good one! The Last Record Album isn't restless as the previous few albums, with kind of a laidback groove, overall – and we actually really dig Little Feat in a mellow ... LP, Vinyl record album
Warner, 1969. Very Good+
A groovy groovy soundtrack that contains one of the Association's greatest songs! "Goodbye Columbus" may not be as famous as some of their bigger hits – but we love it to death, and it's the kind of catchy groover they'll find us singing in the coffin long after we've passed away! ... Very cool original pressing of this rare LP cut by studio legend Hal Blaine. Hal played drums on thousands of records in the 60's and 70's – including a huge amount of some of rock's biggest classics. During the time, he also managed to cut a number of LPs – some like the wild classic ... LP, Vinyl record album

Double LP reissue of these two post-Pet Sounds albums – Wild Honey, the stripped down, back-to-basics record that they put out after the failure of Smile; and 20/20, a weird mix of stuff, but a record that also contains some of the lost tracks from Smile.
