An Evening With Wild Man Fischer

LP (Item 67438) Bizarre/Reprise, 1968 — Condition: Very Good
2LP Gatefold

(Blue label Bizarre auto-coupled pressing. Cover has some wear with a split top seam and center split bottom seams.)

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

AM
Reprise, 1995. Near Mint- Gatefold
A timeless jangly country rock album from a band that didn't sound like it was setting out to reinvent the wheel, even if they ultimately almost did! Reprise, 1967. Very Good
An early moment of genius from The Electric Prunes – and exactly the kind of record that shows why they were a cut above their contemporaries, and why Warner really backed them strongly right from the start! There's a depth here that rivals some of the group's Sunset Strip contemporaries ... LP, Vinyl record album

Lovecraft

Valley Of The Moon
Reprise, 1970. Very Good+
HP Lovecraft drummer Michael Tegza soldiers on with a new group as Lovecraft – with a tighter sound that blends hard driving drums and guitars with more delicate, harmony vocal accented songcraft! Mass In F Minor
Reprise, Late 60s. Very Good
A beautifully baroque batch of tracks, written and arranged for the Electric Prunes by the great David Axelrod – a really groundbreaking mix of modes that had quite an impact back in the late 60s! The record shows Axelrod's perpetual fascination with the spiritual – mixed with that ... LP, Vinyl record album

Mothers (Frank Zappa)

Fillmore East – June 1971
Bizarre/Reprise, 1971. Near Mint-
Frank Zappa & The Mothers, live at the Fillmore East – showing the world they've got plenty of greatness to offer away from the studio! The band here is super-tight – with the ferocity of Chunga's Revenge, but still enough room between the jamming for some mad bits of dialog and ... LP, Vinyl record album

Roxy Music

Country Life
EG, 1974. Near Mint-
The fourth album from Roxy Music – and quite possibly the best to date! The album has the group moving strongly past the Eno years, into a tighter framework that still contains many of the darker themes of earlier records. Ferry's lead vocals are incredibly majestic – rising to ... LP, Vinyl record album

Seed Of Memory
ABC, 1976. Near Mint-
A bit later than Terry Reid's real classics, but also a surprisingly nice little record – even if the sound is different!
