This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A bit of a mainstream effort from Makeba, as this set features more of an emphasis on pop material and standards than on some of her other records. Sid Bass conducted and arranged the orchestral backing on the folk and sixties pop classics, which doesn't leave as much room for her vocal stylings ... LP, Vinyl record album
We have to be honest, we know a little bit about African music, but not a lot. So when we came across a small stack of African records, we scooped them up and put them online, but rather than insult those of you out there who know and love this stuff, we're just listing them at a nice price ... A nice set from King Sunny Ade, licensed to the Makossa label, but in the style of his African recordings, featuring a number of shorter compositions strung together into side-longsuites. Hypnotic guitar lines and gentle diatonic melodies float over propulsive percolating percussion, with ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of Hugh's most compelling records from the time – cut live at the Whiskey A Go Go, with a jazzy edge that really shows him growing a lot as a musician. The set features small combo backing by a group that features Al Abreu on sax, Hotep Cecil Barnard on piano, Henry Franklin on bass, and ... LP, Vinyl record album
An incredible early experimental album from Art Blakey – one of the first to feature him in expanded percussion format! Side one of the album features the extended "Drum Suite" – a set of 3 tracks ("The Sacrifice", "Cubano Chant", and "Oscalypso") ... LP, Vinyl record album
