Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

Cultures Of Soul, Late 50s/Early 60s. Used
A great US take on the Jam Up Twist sound of DJ Andy Smith – the groove he explored on a previous compilation in the UK – now served up here in a different lineup for the states! The music is a mad mix of R&B, jump blues, rockabilly, and other raw sounds from the tail end of the ... CD
Tropicalia In Furs/World Psychedelic Classics, Late 60s/1970s. Used
A fuzzed out treasure trove of rare Brazilian psychedelia – wild stuff that's in many ways akin to the freewheeling sounds of the Tropicalia movement, but not necessarily taking on the cultural and political weight of that movement – and more about the boundless spirit of psychedelia ... CD
Numero, Late 60s/Early 70s. Used
Rare rock from the Golden Triangle scene of Southeast TX in the late 60s and early 70s – a well-curated overview of the stylistically sprawling material being cut at Mickey Rouse's Lowland Recording Studio in Beaumont! Texas rock of the late 60s and early 70s justifiably brings to mind acts ... CD
P&P, Late 70s/Early 80s. Used
Few folks might feel confident to lay claim to being the "master of the masterpiece" – but given the mighty talents of Patrick Adams, the title is certainly well put! Adams has a legacy that's mighty wide in soul music – from group recordings of the late 60s, to harmony soul ... CD

Soul Patrol (France), 2005. Used
The mighty Soul Patrol Records is firmly back in business – and this time around they're serving up a collection of newer work pulled from the catalogs of modern funk labels Soul Fire and Timmion! The work on the set grooves with the raw deep funk power of obscure 70s funky 45s – and ... CD
Dagored (Italy), Early 70s/1999. Used
Groovy sexy tracks from Italian film scores – and as far as we can tell, none of this stuff has shown up on other reissues! Lovingly packaged with the usual Dagored flair, and filled with the kind of cool dreamy sexy silky bossa-y cuts that make digging through Italian soundtracks so great. ... CD

Columbia, 1959. Used
What can we say? This is the ultimate Miles Davis album – the one that includes so many songs that we've heard way too much in Starbucks, in retail stores, or at a friend's house who claims to be a "jazz expert", but is really a yuppie dilettante. Yet somehow, over all the years, ... CD

Prince

Purple Rain
Warner, 1984. Used
One of the greatest crossover albums of the 80s – and the record that catapulted Prince very firmly into the mainstream! There's a tightness here that surpasses even that of Prince's early classics for Warner Brothers – an unabashed love of a pop hook that makes for some incredibly ... CD
