No Love At All

LP (Item 646610) MGM, Mid 60s — Condition: Sealed

(Mono pressing. Shrinkwrap has some sticker remnants. Cover has a cutout hole.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Here I Am
MGM, 1967. Sealed
Slightly hipper than some of Johnny Tillotson's other work – filled with lesser-known tracks that mix sweeter themes with some of the headier topics of the times – almost showing that great way that country pop was coming into play with some of the issues and pressures of the late 60s. ... Animalization

Winds Of Change
MGM, 1967. Very Good Gatefold
The Winds Of Change are definitely afoot in the sound of The Animals – as the album's one of their most psychedelic outings ever – and also a bit funky at times too! Production by Tom Wilson is really great – echoey at most moments, with a kind of "flash" and shimmer ... LP, Vinyl record album

Another gem from The Animals' overlooked late 60s years on MGM – a time when the group were easily making some of the most inventive music on the label! The group behind one of the coolest novelty tunes of the 70s – the excellent "Chick A Boom (Don't Ya Jes Love It)" – one of those cuts that showed up everywhere at the time, but didn't exactly put the band on the map! That great cut leads off the set – and other numbers ... LP, Vinyl record album
