If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Genius work from Freda Payne – a set recorded after her bigger fame years for Invictus/Hot Wax – but a record that's done with an even deeper feel overall! The album features some key contributions from Lamont Dozier – who wasn't credited on the original record, due to his ... CD
The second album from the team of Wendy & Lisa – and a record that nicely gets past some of the more mainstream sounds of the first! The styles here move a bit more away from the mid 80s pop/soul modes the pair first forged with Prince – and there's a bit more variety in the ... CD
Sublime second generation soul from Brenda & The Tabulations – a sweet set of Philly grooves, recorded at Sigma sound with help from Norman Harris, Bobby Eli, and John Davis! The album's every bit as groove-heavy as you'd expect from work by those dancefloor heavyweights – and the ... CD
A great little album from Jeannie Reynolds – and her lasting contribution to underground soul! Jeannie's vocals are nice and deep – with hints of southern diva phrasing, filtered through some of the tighter soul styles coming out of Chicago and other points north at the time! Detroit ... CD
A rare set from legendary deep soul diva Betty Lavette – recorded as a one-off for Motown in the early 80s, but done in a deep soul style that has plenty of 70s touches! The feel here is almost in the Malaco mode – southern soul, but with some more sophisticated modern touches – ... CD
A damn funky record – way more so than you might expect from the "string" in the title! The group's kind of an answer to the Soulful Strings ensemble headed by Richard Evans for Cadet/Concept in Chicago – and like that group, it mixes up funky rhythms with some sweet large ... CD
A stunner of a solo set from Edna Wright – once the lead singer for Honey Cone, but almost even better on this smooth soul masterpiece from the 70s! The album's got an immediately recognizeable moment in the leadoff cut "Oops Here I Go" – sampled famously by De La Soul and ... CD
A rare set of deep deep deep soul vocals by one of the best singers on the Sound Stage 7 label – Ella Washington's self-titled gem from 1969! Ella's vocals are as great as those of the soul superstar divas of the day, and she's backed by a beautifully tight band – in a style that ... CD
Just the way we like it from SOS Band – tight, but never too uptight – grooving, but never too over the top either – and with plenty of room for mellower moments that really round the album out nicely! The set's got SOS right at the height of their famous run for Tabu Records ... CD
