Love Everlasting – The Very Best Of Jon Lucien (with unreleased tracks)

CD (Item 634877) BMG (UK), Early 70s — Condition: Used
$9.99 ...

CD

An excellent Jon Lucien compilation that's way way better than the one that came out on Razor & Tie! This one features only work from Jon's RCA years – which were easily his best-ever. Plus, it's also got 4 previously unissued tracks that were recorded during the early 70s – but never issued until now. These are titled "Time For Me To Fly", "Child Of Love", "Black Flower", and "Follow Your Heart" – and they're all great! Of course, the other stuff's fantastic, too – and is some of the most godlike jazzy soul ever recorded on this planet. Titles include "Lady Love", "Who Will Buy?", "Adoration", "So Little Time", "Listen Love", "The Pleasure Of Your Garden", and the wonderful groover "Would You Believe In Me". 20 cuts in all!  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Out of print.)

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

Brilliant stuff – all 3 of Jon Lucien's landmark RCA albums on one 2CD set! Lucien cut his best work for RCA – but sadly, the albums were under-discovered for years, and are only now recently getting credit as the soul jazz landmarks they've come to be! On these albums, Jon's style is ... CD

A killer album by MFSB – arguably one of their best! Gone are the string-heavy disco arrangements of earlier years, and in their place are some slick jazz funk grooves, mostly penned by Dexter Wansel, who produced a good bit of the album with a similar style to his best space funk records of ... CD

Sade's last LP from the early 90s before she went into her brief recording and performing hiatus.
