This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
An excellent bit of modern soul – very much in the vein of Jill Scott, Laurnea, N'Dambi, or some of the other current underground divas from the US indie soul scene! Ledisi's got a heck of a voice – very rich and mellow, in a style that reminds us a bit of classic work by jazzy soul ... CD
A sweet little record from Mayer Hawthorne – put together with the kind of care and straightforward sound that so few folks have been using in recent years! Back at his start, you might have been tempted to think of Hawthorne as slightly ironic – an underground talent who could work at ... CD
One of our favorite groups of all time – taken to a whole new level! Fertile Ground, to us, is one of the most exciting groups currently recording – a masterful group of musicians steeped in a soulful style that stretches back to the most righteous groups of the 70s, but who also have ... CD
Future Soul galore – a great little compilation from the Freestyle label – all put together from a range of US and UK Neo Soul recordings, but with a definite ear for the more cosmic side of the spectrum! The artists here aren't trying merely to ape contemporary or classic soul – ... CD
Yolanda Rabun's got a great groove here – a sound that's even tighter, warmer, and jazzier than on her previous album – with all the poise and class you'd expect from her image on the cover! The instrumentation's nice and laidback – plenty of keyboards, and less of the beats that ... CD
The long-awaited second set from Kindred The Family Soul – a duo who really grabbed us with their excellent Surrender To Love, and who really follow up on its promise with this excellent set! Kindred have a totally righteous sound that's long steeped in traditions of soul and gospel – ... CD
A brilliant batch of new millenium soul from Debra Debs! Debra is a London-based, Cameroon-born singer, and Life Cycles is the first full length effort we've heard from her, but it leaves us with little doubt that she'll be around for years to come. This is some of the nicest indie soul we've ... CD
