CD

2nd installment in a 4 volume set, compiling the wealth of great singles produced by Lee Perry for release in the UK. Each set is 2 CDs, and as you can imagine, once you've got all 4, you've covered a lot of ground! Since most singles had some kind of versioning on the flip, whether it was the instrumental or a proto-dub take, there's a great variety of material here, 50 tracks in all, including classics like "Shocks Of Mighty", "Sound Underground" & "Upsetting Station" by Dave Barker & the Upsetters, "Duppy Conqueror" by Bob Marley & the Wailers and mountains of Upsetters tracks (more than the others in this series!): "Kill Them All", "Soul Walk", "One Punch", "A Touch Of Fire", "Consider Me (Version)", "Kinky Mood"."Spinning Wheel (Version)", "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye", "Pick Folk Kinkiest", "Fire Fire", "Teh Jumper", "The Pillow", "Grooving", "Big Dog Bloxie", "Fresh Up", "Toothache", "Thunder Version", "Blood Poison", "Dreamland", "Version Of Cup", "Ferry Boat", "Bigger Joke", "Return Of The Vampire", "Justice" and "Dig Your Grave". Plus Lee Perry "Do You Like It", "Son Of Thunder" and "Sipreano", Sir Lord Comic "Bronco", Busty Brown "Consider Me", The Heaters "Melting Pot", Melanie Jonas & Dave Barker "Spinning Wheel", Dave Barker & the Upsetters "Set Me Free", "Granny Show pts. 1 & 2" and "Some Sympathy", Dave Barker & the Wailers "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying", Martin Riley & Fay Bennett "Self Control", Martin Riley "the Pill", the Soulettes "Let It Be", the Versatiles "The Thanks We Get" and "Hurry Up", Bob Marley & the Wailers "My Cup" and The Untouchables "Tender Love", "It's Over" and "Same Thing All Over".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible.

When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs — so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.

All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

We can't get enough of this stuff! Trojan doesn't waste any space on this nicely priced 3CD box set of skanking rocksteady. A great collection of 50 tracks spread out over 3 CDs from the label's archive of early reggae classics. We haven't got the space to list every jumping track, but our ... CD

Another excellent compilation in this series from Trojan. A classic from Prince Far I – Voice Of Thunder couldn't be a more appropriate album title or moniker! Recorded at Channel One in 1981 with incredible analog dub production, it fully carries the grit, murk, heavy and heady soul of the 70s into the new decade –even if the sound is ... CD

During the mid 70s, a number of major label rock stars had their dalliance with reggae, and after inviting him to tour with them, the Stones decided to start releasing Peter Tosh's LPs.
