Trio Infernal – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

CD (Item 621627) Dagored (Italy), 1974 — Condition: Used
$14.99 ...

CD

A really sweet little soundtrack from Ennio Morricone – one that really mixes things up with some unusual notes and tones from the maestro! The score was penned for a Francis Girod film that reunited the team of Michel Piccoli and Romy Schneider – and the tunes mix airy, string-heavy numbers that glide along beautifully with a few other more quirky, playful passages that use some very weird piano! This mix of modes is really compelling, and certainly breaks the styles of more familiar Morricone soundtracks – a quality that we can really appreciate, and which has us coming back to this one again and again! Titles include "Il Trio Infernale", "Acido E Charme", "Sinfonietta Requiem All'Acido Solforcio", and "Rag Nuziale". 14 tracks in all.  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

A really fantastic score from Ennio Morricone – maybe better this time around than the images on the screen for some of his other westerns of the period – more proof that the maestro was always willing to rise above, and give his best no matter what the setting! / Ennio Morricone's ... CD

Nice to know that we've lived past the year 2000 – and have managed to miss the holocaust that Kirk Douglas fought in this late 70s film! The movie's just the kind of overdone thriller that Kirk handled late in his career – but thankfully, the music from Ennio Morricone is much deeper ... CD

A fantastically dark Morricone score! Morricone originally wrote this material for the film Quattro Mosche Di Velluto Grigio, the third part of Dario Argento's cult terror trilogy – and until the release of this CD reissue, only 2 of the tracks ever made it to the public, on a rare single ... CD

A cool jazzy soundtrack from the mighty Piero Piccioni – right up there with his other great work of the early 60s! The film's a kidnapping tale that stars Anouk Aimee, and Piccioni's music is a blend of jazzy themes that have some nice horns in the forefront, especially trumpet – plus ... CD
