If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.

The Monophonics definitely have a way of getting inside your brain – using a cosmic slop of fuzzy guitars and funky basslines to eat away your grey matter more than a maggot inside your cranium! Yet even past that heavy Funkadelic reference, they've also got a richer vibe too – ... CD
Even more soulful stuff than before from The Baker Brothers – a record that really has them getting past the gritty funk of earlier records, and hitting a fuller groove that's totally great! The sound here is expanded past the guitar-heavy sounds that we first came to love from the Bakers ... CD
Unheard Piano Overlord material – the hypnotic piano & Rhodes-spun recordings of Guillermo Scott Herren – the visionary mind behind Prefuse 73 and Savath Y Savalas! Piano Overlord arguably finds Herren at his loosest – though Aninha Mission has plenty of the moody, hazy beats ... CD
More fantastic soul cuts from the great Detroit-based Groovesville empire, a virtual powerhouse of soul which labored in the shadow of Motown for years, but never received much recognition. The 24 cuts on here feature some excellent work in the Detroit soul vein by the likes of Steve Mancha, David ... CD
Akimbo may not be a household name, but the group's members have played with Brand New Heavies, Soul II Soul, and Jamiroquai – and they've got a sound that more than lives up to that heritage! In a way, the groove here really takes us back to the best styles of the early days of Acid Jazz ... CD
If the story is stripped down avant funk instrumentals with subtle stylistic twists and turns, it's a story worth telling – and that's what Clutchy Hopkins puts down on The Story Teller – an album that manages to be among his most raw and direct and his most adventurous at the same time! ... CD
