A blistering set of psychedelic soul, jazz, funk and Latin grooves – from the superior collections mined by Vampi Soul – featuring some of the hardest charging rare grooves of the late 60s & early 70s! Movers is about as fine a sampler we could have asked for from the funky archaeologists at Vampi – an all inclusive, cross cultural collection of nuggets that all sounds great together thanks to a shared love of an overall funky approach! 23 tracks in all: "I Want Love And Affection (Not The House Of Correction)", "Guitar Big Band" by Dennis Coffey, "Chicken Thighs" by Andre Williams, "Respect" by Soul Survivors, "Soul 70" by Lolas, "Na Palma Da Mao" by Banda Uniao Black, "Guayaba" by Lucho Macedo, "Zoologico Negro" by Orquesta Aragon, "Think Drink" by New Swing Sextet, "Eterno Pecado Horizontal" by Che and much more!  © 1996-2015, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.

It's hard to get any funkier than this – and with Keb Darge and RZA making the call, we'd expect nothing less! RZA gets one disc, Keb the other – and the difference between the taste of the two makes for a really expansive collection – one that's got a few familiar bits that we'd ... CD

Totally cool compilation that brings together a huge amount of hard to find sides that feature some of the great female soul singers that have worked with James Brown over the years. The set's divided into 2 discs – one for the 60's, and one for the 70's – and includes a huge amount of ... CD

Two great labels, teamed up in one mighty compilation – a massive batch of rare club tracks unearthed by Chicago's Past Due label, packaged together wonderfully by the folks at BBE! So far, Past Due's efforts have only surfaced as expensive 12" singles – so this collection is the ... CD
