Sweet and innocent, but pretty darn soulful too – an overlooked set from the late 70s glory days of the TK Records scene – recorded down in Miami with lots of all the right touches! The backings are smooth, but a bit funky too – in that great blend TK was doing once the label really took off towards the charts – an approach that really makes the whole record shine, even before Michele's vocals come into the mix! Tim McCabe produced and wrote all the songs – and titles include "Sweet Innocent", "Good Time Lover", "My Baby's Loving", "Closer", "It's You My Baby", "Don't Go", and "Hold Me". (Cover has a cutout notch.)  © 1996-2016, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Excellent work from this smooth Chicago vocal group! A pretty strange little album from LTG Exchange – a blend of Latin, funk, and soul – wrapped up in a comic-stripped cover that pushes the album as sort of a "black rock operetta"! The feel here is different than the group's earlier work – a bit more disco oriented, but ... LP, Vinyl record album

Seminal early funk work from Roy Ayers!
