If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
A nice little overview of the Blue Note years of Medeski Martin & Wood – and a collection that includes their many styles for the label, some tracks previously unissued in the US, and a bonus DVD that includes 90 minutes of music videos, live performances, and documentary material! The ... CD
Wonderful early work from the great James Taylor Quartet – a killer UK group that emerged out of the London mod and acid jazz scenes of the 80s, then went onto become a monstrously talented funk group in their own right! Taylor's smoking Hammond leads the session, stepping out in some strong ... CD
Choppy New Orleans styled funk in the tradition of the Meters, and recorded with a lot of fidelity to the original sound. Not as amazing as the original, natch, but still surprisingly funky with a good earthy sound to it. Tracks include "Go Go", "Everybody Wants Some (parts 1-3)&quo ... CD
This funky combo kicks it hard on their second Blue Note album – expanding the group a bit more to include an alto player, which makes for a nice choppy jazz funk sound! The record's got a few appearances by famous guests – including Amel Larrieux, Black Thought, Talib Kweli & Hi ... CD
Great stuff from one of those groups who just keep on grooving over the years – always hitting hard with their own unique take on deep funk! We first loved Soulive back when the group were issuing music on self-produced CDs – and they've really come a long way in their sound, and have ... CD
Keyboard flavored funky, jazzy sweetness from The Fantastics – who've had a pretty terrific run of funky 45s and a tight full length – delivering their best work yet and one of our favorite albums on Freestyle of the past couple years with All The People! There's a real love of ... CD
One of the best new funk albums we've heard in years – and one that really does an amazing job of putting equal emphasis on intrumentation and deep soul vocals! Slim Moore comes across like some lost singer from the early 70s funky 45 generation – gritty and upfront, with a quality ... CD
The eponymous full length from Nashville psyche funk trio Magic In Threes! There's something of a sound library style to the set – but the trio format gives their take on that groove in a bit of a tighter, more reigned in take on the groove. That's not to say it's not a diverse tapestry of ... CD
The Uk production team the Creators gets help on the mic from El Da Sensei, Evidence, Craig G, Mos Def & Talib Kweli and Lootpack, and on the 1s and 2s by Mr Thing and Babu. 15 tracks and a boatload of skits, including "The Music", "Hoe's & Dough", "(Another) ... CD
