Mister Guitar

LP (Item 610169) Starday, 1962 — Condition: Very Good
One of the grooviest guitarists in country music – heard here on a nice indie set for Starday!  © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Fink Records, Early 1960s. Very Good-
A strange little record, and one that almost seems to be a parody of folk music – given the name of the club, and that it was issued on a label named Fink! But it's the real deal, and Tim Morgon's got a darkly compelling style as he runs through a mix of traditional and more contemporary ... LP, Vinyl record album

Impulse, 1961. Near Mint- Gatefold
Sublimely spiritual work from the great John Coltrane – a live album, but one that's easily one of his most important contributions to music in the early 60s – and a set that we'd rank right up there with his best studio sides for Impulse or Atlantic Records at the time! The group here ... LP, Vinyl record album

Impressions

This Is My Country
Curtom, 1968. Very Good+
The Impressions are wearing their politics much more on their sleeve at this point – what with a cover that shows them standing in the rubble of the ghetto, and a title that is both a bold proclamation of ownership, and a sad comment on the state of affairs. Curtis Mayfield's pen is in ... LP, Vinyl record album

Ardent, 1974. Near Mint-
