Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs. This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer used CDs in the best possible condition.

When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves), and the booklet to be in good shape. Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs), so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

Piero Piccioni

Dagored (Italy), 1961. Used
A cool jazzy soundtrack from the mighty Piero Piccioni – right up there with his other great work of the early 60s! The film's a kidnapping tale that stars Anouk Aimee, and Piccioni's music is a blend of jazzy themes that have some nice horns in the forefront, especially trumpet – plus ... CD

Francesco DeMasi

Vado L'Ammazzo E Torno
Beat (Italy), 1967. Used
Just the sort of spaghetti western soundtrack to remind us why we love the genre so much – especially the way so many different musical elements can come into play at once! Swirling strings, twangy guitar, bold brass, and lots of odd percussion all come together beautifully – at a ... CD
MCA, 1960s. Used
One of the greatest soul compilations ever! Sure, it's the soundtrack to the goofy John Waters' film Hairspray – but it's also a killer batch of soul tracks that were suprisingly well selected, and which have hardly ever been reissued elsewhere! Titles include "The Bug" by Jerry ... CD

Giovanni Fusco & Gianfranco Reverberi

La Morte Non Ha Sesso (aka A Black Veil For Lisa)
GDM (Italy), 1968. Used
A wonderfully groovy soundtrack – one we'd never heard before, and a set that's filled with great little numbers in a range of different styles! The main theme is filled with percussion – really hard-driving drums that are chased by this echoey piano bit that's totally cool, and very ... CD

Performance, 1958. Used
A very odd little record – and almost more of an audio version of the classic schlock-horror film Plan 9, than it is a proper soundtrack! The album seems to offer up the full audio track from the film – with spoken bits, music, and sound effects firmly in place – almost even ... CD

Bruno Nicolai

Gentleman Jo Uccidi
Digitmovies (Italy), 1967. Used
A lesser known western score (to us, anyway) by Bruno Nicoli – conducted by Ennio Morricone! It's for the obscure 1967 film Gentleman Jo, aka Gentleman Killer – but the score is not nearly as skimpy as the film's reputation! The main title explodes, with large scale vocals that sort ... CD

Wadada Leo Smith

Heart's Reflection
Cuneiform, 2011. Used 2 CDs
A surprising electric project from trumpeter Wadada Leo Smith – a set billed to a group named Organic, but which also has sounds that take us back to the best electric/acoustic avant moments of the 80s! The set's heavy on world jazz influences, but also really uses its electric elements ... CD
