May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean,
and not too dirty.
May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play,
but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep.
Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well,
with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song,
but never throughout a whole song or more.
This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times,
but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Stunning – both sides, too! These rare post-Atlantic numbers by The Coasters stand as some of their great work – and they both boast a stop/start bouncing groove that makes them long favorites with the sample crowd. "Soul Pad" is fantastic – a jumpy little groover ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
"Falling In Love" is a nice sweet soul cut with a slow tempo, and has sort of a Brunswick soul sound to it. We don't know much about these guys, and have never seen an album by them, so this might be the only track out there. 7-inch, Vinyl record
Two of the more obscure numbers that Ripple cut at the time of their first album – but both nice! "Willie" is a fast chugging funk number, with the title as the catchy vocal refrain on the chorus. "Get Off" is even better – with fast vamping wah wah guitar, organ ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
What can we say? "Twine Time" is one of the all-time classics – and it's still the best-remembered track by this legendary funky 45 artist. "The Bump" is pretty darn nice, too – and this one's not a 70s bump track, but a harder, 60s one! 7-inch, Vinyl record
Sure, both of these numbers are popular 60s tunes – but Groove does them up very nicely, wailing away on organ in small combo format, turning the hit cuts into hipper soul jazz numbers with a very nice groove! 7-inch, Vinyl record
Prime late 60s Cannon! "Why" is a great cut – a tune that's almost as catchy as "Mercy Mercy Mercy", but a lot lot better. Dark, slightly funky, and with an obvious political masses that was not lost on the ears of civil rights-era fans! "I'm On My Way" has a ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
A great bit of work from Astrud Gilberto – a mellow tune with a really sad feel, recorded for the soundtrack to A Deadly Affair! The track's a great one – with a haunting style that makes us think that Astrud must have had a heck of a broken up inside, in order to be able to sing this ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
"Slick" is one of Willie's greatest funk tracks from the 70s – pulled from the soundtrack of the film The Mack, and done with that tight-grooving, super-dope style that forever put Willie in the crates! Lots of nice conga and wah wah guitar! "Mother's Theme" is slower ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
A near-forgotten ballad from Michael's Off The Wall album – backed by a number that's a lot nicer! "Get On The Floor" has all the bouncing groove of the best Quincy Jones tracks that went on to become bigger hits – but it's got the added bonus of being less familiar, and an ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
