Two sets "Intonation" and "Summer Cornfield", can (the label claims) "Actually Help You Meditate...Even if You've Never Meditated Before!". As the notes say, play at any speed, for different psychological effects. (With hype sticker.)  © 1996-2017, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Tartaglian Theorem
Capitol, 1968. Very Good
Sweet and dreamy instrumental pop from John Andrews Tartaglia – an arranger we only know from a few late 60s sides at Capitol Records – all of which are pretty great! Tartaglia's got a style that's still heavy in mainstream 60s easy modes, but borrows a fair bit from the generation of ... LP, Vinyl record album

What a groovy little set! Side 1 features "Sailboat", nothing but a recording of the ambient sounds of the deck fo a sailboat as it cuts its way through the waves on a peaceful sunny day. Side 2 features "Country Stream", with the same gimmick, and designed to induce calm as ... LP, Vinyl record album
Something Fresh
Capitol, Late 60s. Sealed
A rare moment in the David Axelrod years at Capitol Records – a set that has the Axe producing sounds by older maestro David Rose! Rose is a lot groovier in the setting – as you might expect – and all the instrumental tunes are new compositions for the record. Tracks include ... LP, Vinyl record album

Excellent bit of moogy stuff by one of the best French players of the instrument (and there were quite a few of them!) Denjean runs through a set that includes one original ("Ce Jour La") and a number of groovy covers, like "Tight Rope", "Love Story", "Alone ... LP, Vinyl record album
Class Of 71
RCA, 1971. Sealed

Keys To Your Mind
Liberty, Late 60s. Good+
Trippy 60's pop instrumentals by this LA studio piano guy, with accompaniment by Hal Blaine, Emil Richards, and Don Peake. Groovy versions of "Summer in the City" and "For No One", plus some originals, all played on a number of different keyboards. LP, Vinyl record album
Dawn Of Dylan
GWP, Early 70s. Very Good+ Gatefold
Hugo Montenegro runs through a set of Dylan compositions with very baroque orchestrations. Recorded slightly before he was doing his moogy work, this one has Montenegro leading a vocal chorus that has a We Five sort of late 60's pop feel. The arrangements are very groovy and jangly, and the track ... LP, Vinyl record album

RCA, 1959. Very Good+
A lost lounge gem from the RCA catalog – with a dreamy exotica feel that's right up there with the best of the bachelor pad era!
