This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
A great little album from Serge – possibly his last truly genius record, and one with a very unusual twist! The album was recorded in Jamaica with production from Sly & Robbie – very much in the late 70s, big-business reggae mode – but done with Serge's usual flair for the ... CD
Beautiful CD that brings together 20 tracks of the fragile French folk songwriting of the great Georges Brassens. If you don't know Brassens, he was one twisted mofo, and his work has gone onto provide the inspiration for a range of musicians that runs from Serge Gainsbourg to Momus. This set's ... CD
The roots of Brigitte Fontaine – and a really wonderful record that we love every bit as her later work – but in a completely different way! The style here is more strikingly jazzy in the territory of early 60s Serge Gainsbourg or Jacques Brel – and the lyrics are mostly all by ... CD
Beautiful work from Benjamin Biolay – easily one of our favorite French artists of the 21st Century – even though we've been following his work since the previous one! Benjamin's got a sound that's just perfect if you, like us, dig an older generation of French work by artists like ... CD
A fantastic album by this enigmatic French singer – one of her first truly experimental albums! The record differs from some of her other albums quite a bit – and has a very strange mix of styles that go from straight ahead (only a track or two), to wildly experimental – very ... CD
Pierre Barouh, Jacques Higelin, N Vasconcelos, etc
A very cool compilation of tracks, seemingly recorded in the early 70s – but issued here in package designed to pay tribute to the 33-year history of the legendary Saravah label! Pierre Barouh, the founder of Saravah, is at the head of the party-like festivities, reciting his "Saravah ... CD
Late 50s romantic vocals from France – originally issued on 10" LP, and featuring backings by the orchestra of Raymond Lefevre. Tracks include "Gondolier", "Buenas Noches Mi Amour", Histoire D'un Amour", "Le Jour Ou La Pluie Viendra", "Calypso ... CD
