Endless Summer

LP (Item 606683) Capitol, 1960s/1974 — Condition: Near Mint-
2LP Gatefold

A definitive Beach Boys collection that graced many a stereo back in the 70s – filled with gems that include "Let Him Run Wild", "Warmth Of The Sun", "Catch A Wave", "Don't Worry Baby", "You're So Good To Me", "All Summer Long", "Warmth Of The Sun", "California Girls", "Girl Don't Tell Me", "Be True To Your School", and the beautiful "In My Room".  © 1996-2021, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(80s purple label pressing.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Capitol (Netherlands), 1969. Very Good Gatefold
The Beach Boys live in London at the end of the 60s – working here without Brian Wilson in tow – as indicated by a postcard addressed to him back home, displayed prominently on the front cover! Despite Brian's absence, the group's still in fine form – harmonically tight, and ... LP, Vinyl record album

Beach Boys Concert
Capitol, 1964. Very Good+ Gatefold
The first live album from The Beach Boys – and a bit more straight than later live dates, but still pretty nice overall! Like their Party album from the 60s, this set shows a slightly different side of the group than their Brian Wilson-polished studio sessions – a bit more ... LP, Vinyl record album

Beach Boys

Wild Honey
Capitol, 1967. Near Mint-
A back-to-basics album of sorts – shorter, catchier songs recorded by the group after the collapse of Smile – but a record that still has some really wonderful moments overall – and which shows that The Beach Boys would never be the same after Pet Sounds! There's a mix of older ... LP, Vinyl record album
Brother/Reprise, Late 60s. Very Good+ 2 LP Gatefold
A two-fer released in 1974 of these two post-Pet Sounds albums. Friends contains the lost classics like "Busy Doing Nothin", "Little Bird", "Be Here in the Mornin'", and "Diamond Head". Known by some as the Transcendental Meditation album, this one's filled ... LP, Vinyl record album

Beach Boys

Smiley Smile
Brother/Capitol, 1967. Good
The slimmed-down, single LP effort that Capitol issued after the collapse of the legendary Smile album – and a pretty sublime set nonetheless! Sure, some might argue that you can't enjoy Brian Wilson's genius until you've listened to 20 bootlegs of the sessions with dozens of takes on the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Greatest Hits 1974 to 1978
Capitol, Mid 70s. Sealed
What can we say? The man's a genius! Steve managed to shake off his roots in the SF scene a lot better than most of his contemporaries – and he grew considerably during the mid 70s, picking up a heck of a lot of soul along the way, and earning some very well-deserved crossover spots on the ... Wind In The Willows
Capitol, 1968. Very Good+ Gatefold
A group who's as trippy as their storybook title might imply – and an early effort from a young pre-Blondie Debbie Harry! The Wind In The Willows have a sound that's a far bit more folksy than you'd expect from Harry's later work in Blondie – a style that blends acoustic guitars, bits ... LP, Vinyl record album
