I'm Goin' Out Lika Soldier

CD (Item 605762) Rap-A-Lot, 1992 — Condition: Used

The Geto Boy's second solo album, best known for the track "Rodney K" aka "F*ck Rodney King", but check "Trench-N-Gangsta Hats" and "Die" for some slow and low Houston rap dropped years before DJ Screw ever touched his first bottle of sizzurp. The labels list the same 16 tracks as the CD, but there are only 14 bands on the album, with a couple of the skits running into the songs, which include "Profile Of A Criminal", "I'm Goin' Out Lika Soldier", "Pass Da Piote'", "Clean Up Man", "U Ain't No Ganksta", "Campaign '92", "Go Back 2 School", "U Still A aggiN", "Little Hooker", "Yo P My D", "Backstage", "Wat's Up aggiN" and "My Alibi" in addition to the tracks mentioned above. (Out of print.)  © 1996-2015, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Used CD Grade

We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD". This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.

With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.

The second album, and even if it's not as dope as as the mythical Illmatic, but how could anyone hope to live up to those expectations? "I rap with the Passion of Christ, Ni**a, cross me!" BE isn't exactly a back-to-basics LP in the vein of his classic work for Relativity – but it is indeed a return to a focused, genuinely soulful, no BS approach – and it's a very welcome one at that! It seems like Com was a ... CD
