This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
The album that catapulted Jurassic 5 from the underground! Quality Control is one of the great hip hop albums, a record that's filled with great tracks, yet flows along as the ultimate headphones experience. The rhymes by Zaakir, Chali 2na, Akil, and Marc 7even are top notch in group dynamics and ... CD
All praise to the mighty J5 – reminding us in the early 00s that hip hop could still be about funky, party rockin' beats and flowing on beat, with witty, intelligent rhymes – and sound as fresh as ever! This album's mostly produced by Cut Chemist, though Nu Mark has a hand in a number ... CD
A round two knockout for Gnarls Barkley – an album we think is better than the landmark St Elsewhere LP – boisterous pop art & soul from Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo! We were slightly trepid when the Odd Couple was announced, fearing a hasty attempt to rekindle the magic that clearly ... CD
PE's third LP, and their last with full on Bomb Squad production. With classics like "Fight The Power", "Burn Hollywood Burn", "Welcome To The Terrordome", "Power To The People", "911 Is A Joke" and the title track. CD
By the time this third LP dropped, (Reverend) Run, DMC and Jam Master Jay were seasoned vets, delivering stripped down second generation hip hop with the hardest sounds on the East coast, but without neglecting the party rocking side of the game. Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons are on production, ... CD
This album marks the start of a beautiful schism in hip hop production that die hard purists may or may not be so happy with. But, in no time at all, Scott Herren's debut on Warp paved a new original style of sample manipulation and composition that has awed critics and has been mimicked ... CD
For everyone who wasn't there the first time around, Shadow was kind enough to compile his early MoWax material, released originally as 12" singles. Unfortunately none of the really early, really hard to get stuff is here, but cuts like "Influx" and "Hindsight" are still ... CD
A fierce 10th album from the Roots – hard hitting and straight up angry, without sacrificing the musicality that makes them the most unique crew in hip hop of the past 15 years! We'll do our best to recommend this vital LP without tagging it with the dreaded "concept album" tag ... CD
The bugged sci fi maestro MF Doom returns with the MM Food album – a full five years since the underground classic Operation: Doomsday, and a straight up tie with Madvilliany for the championship title of best Doom-related LP since that immortal set! As you'd guess from the title, this ... CD
A fascinating full length departure from DJ Shadow – an album that's more or less made up of genre suites – rolling from sound library groove, to hood-shaking hyphy hip hop, to topical post-Katrina commentary, to beat-driven live instrument avant funk! The album's flow is more or less ... CD
