Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
An excellent collection of great soundtrack numbers from British maestro Laurie Johnson! This set was pulled together in the early 80s, so it not only features numbers from the first run of the Avengers series, but also from the New Avengers, as well as a great batch from the Professionals series, ... Fantastic! This is the French pressing of the Michel Legrand score to Jaques Demy's incredible 1965 film The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg. Every word of dialogue in the film is sung, and Legrand came up with an amazing array of themes to carry the emotion of the film. Embedded in here are lines that ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the wildest Quincy Jones soundtracks ever! The record is a strange melange of jazzy tracks, groovy tracks, and some that have a strange messed-up feel. The film was a Michael Caine "heist" film, and the music's got the kind of sound you'd expect. Titles include "It's Caper ... LP, Vinyl record album
Carly Simon makes a big appearance here – singing the hit title track "Nobody Does It Better" – one of the highest-charting Bond film tunes of the 70s! But our favorites are the instrumental songs – handled by Marvin Hamlisch here with a sound that's perhaps a bit more ... LP, Vinyl record album
An extremely unique Mancini soundtrack – scored for this European film that starred Marcello Mastroianni and Ingrid Bergman – with a sound that's almost in a similar mood to Morricone from the same time. Most of the tracks are fairly dark and turgid – with simple themes running ... LP, Vinyl record album
The second album of groovy tunes to come from the Man From U.N.C.L.E. spy show of the 60s. As record collectors know, this second LP has always been harder to find than the first – and the tracks are every bit as groovy! Hugo Montenegro turns in some of his best scoring work ever, and comes ... LP, Vinyl record album
The first-ever non-soundtrack album from director/composer John Carpenter – but a record that also draws strongly from all his many years in movies! All the classic Carpenter elements are firmly in place – cool keyboards, compressed guitar parts, and this spacious style of building up ... LP, Vinyl record album
A groovy soundtrack, written for this film that starred Dustin Hoffman and Mia Farrow as two young lovers on a one night stand. The film sports a great vocal theme – "Maybe Tomorrow", sung by Evie Sands in a haunting airy way, and also performed at another point by the Morgan Ames ... LP, Vinyl record album
When we were impressionable little arty tykes, this was one of our favorite soundtracks. It's got some beautiful Satie-esque tracks that feature solo piano by Vladimir Cosma, plus some weird Euro electronic stuff that has a nice cold feel to it. Also features a few tracks from the opera "La ... LP, Vinyl record album
