Real Sound Of Chicago & Beyond – Underground Disco & Boogie
CD (Item 597388) BBE (UK), Late 70s/Early 80s — Condition: Used
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.

A dream come true! Someone at Blue Note is keeping their eyes and ears on the street and in the clubs – because here's another late model conceptual triumph – a remix project pairing current innovators in the club and hip hop underground with classic numbers from the label's vaults! ... CD
A second set of grooves from the Seattle scene – and a much-needed follow-up to the first Wheedles Groove compilation! This set picks up where the last one left off – still digging the funk and soul of the 70s, but also following the scene into clubby territory, modern soul, and boogie ... CD
Despite the cloying title of this one, the set's a very sweet collection of Italian 70's themes with a groovy sexy sound to them. There's perhaps more of a camp feel than usual (if you can believe that!), with sounds that have a bit of a Barbarella-ish feel, or sort of a Euro b-grade erotic ... CD
Salsoul mellow? Believe it or not, the famous disco label had some great chilled-out moments – still as funky as their best clubby tracks, but grooving in a nicely laidback way! The set's one of the most unique collections of Salsoul work we've ever heard – and one of the freshest ... CD
Not just the sort of garage you might guess from the title – but also a batch of early 80s numbers from the New York scene – the kind of club cuts that played strongly back in the legendary years of Paradise Garage! Most tracks are the original 12" mix, which means they're nice ... CD
An assortment of upbeat, soulful house tracks from the prime years of the garage scene – not that overcooked style that was pushed big overseas in the mid 90s, but the best garage years of New York and beyond, a time when house music was bubbling up with some of its most soulful sounds ever! ... CD
Fab Philadelphia soul on 4 CDs – a massive package of work that really serves up the best from the legendary empire of Gamble & Huff, plus a host of other great Philly numbers too! The package is a great look at the full spectrum of sound in Philly during the 70s – not just the key ... CD
They're not lying about the title on this one – as the package definitely overflows with deep disco and boogie! But even more importantly, the whole thing's plenty darn rare, too – really killer tracks that we haven't seen compiled elsewhere – and which really represent the cream ... CD
