Arbors

LP (Item 594268) Arbors, Mid 70s — Condition: Sealed

(Shrinkwrap is a bit shopworn.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Royal Scam
ABC, 1976. Very Good+
My god, what a record! This one's genius through and through – a set that sometimes gets eclipsed in the brilliance to come, but which is easily one of our favorites ever by Steely Dan! Beach Boys

Holland
Brother/Warner, 1972. Very Good+
A great early 70s entry from The Beach Boys – and a record that's nicely balanced between mature pop tunes and more experimental moments! Neil Young

On The Beach
Reprise, 1974. Near Mint-
You might not guess it by the records that tend to grace our pages, but we do love some Neil Young around the Dusty offices. And while we'd like to say it doesn't get much better than this prime mid 70s LP, the old man's delivered so many great recordings over the years that would be a mighty ... LP, Vinyl record album

Who

Magic Bus
Decca, 1968. Near Mint-
The Who may look like they're tripping things out a bit with the cover and title to this one – clearly a nod to the Magical Mystery Tour-era Beatles – but the groove here is tight, right, and pretty darn mod all the way through – very much in the spirit of the group's earlier ... Al Smith

Hear My Blues
Prestige/Bluesville, 1959. Near Mint-
Vocalist Al Smith is backed by Eddie Lockjaw Davis' group with Shirley Scott on organ – making for a hip little set that's got a rougher edge than most of the other vocal albums on Prestige. The label delegation for this one was Prestige's Bluesville imprint, but that's not exactly right ... LP, Vinyl record album
