This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
Another incredible volume in the Soulful Thangs series – easily one of the greatest for late nite soul and rare harmony vocals! The package has a beautifully drifting sound throughout – that mellow as mellow can be soul that was made most perfectly at the end of the 60s and into the ... CD
A nice dose of work from one of the greatest harmony soul groups of all time – the mighty Delfonics, a trio who took high-end vocals to a whole new level! The package does a good job of mixing hits up with a few lesser-known gems from the group – showing their full vocal potential, and ... CD
Goldmine's first CD in their series exploring the modern soul genre – one that they define as being a bit smoother, and with a sort of 70's mid- and uptempo twist to it (but no disco or club-type tracks.) Lots of rare non-LP stuff, with tracks like "I Need Love" by Daybreak, "S ... CD
A 2 CD live set from the legendary Gil Scott-Heron – captured sometime in the 80s, featuring some of his legendary righteous jazz funk numbers in the 70s, plus some of his lesser-known, even more pointedly political numbers from the 80s! The arrangements are clean, and very jazzy on this set ... CD

A very cool package that contains all of the sides the tenor sax giant King Curtis recorded for Capitol Records! The package is wonderful – 3CDs, wrapped up in a nice big box, with a huge booklet that has notes on the work, great photos, and full details of the sessions. King's tenor was ... CD

Sweet solo work from Smokey Robinson – some of our favorite Motown recordings of the 70s! Although Smokey first kicked off his successful career with The Miracles, he really made a strong move when he broke with the group during the early 70s, and emerged on his own to cut some totally great ... CD
A killer set from a group that never lets us down – stepping out here in a sound that's more modern, more mature than their hit work of the 70s – yet still filled with all the sublime harmony soul we'd expect from the trio of Tony Silvester, Cuba Gooding, and Luther Simmons! Wade ... CD
More fantastic soul cuts from the great Detroit-based Groovesville empire, a virtual powerhouse of soul which labored in the shadow of Motown for years, but never received much recognition. The 24 cuts on here feature some excellent work in the Detroit soul vein by the likes of Steve Mancha, David ... CD
Great stuff! The folks at Goldmine always do a great job with their comps when they move away from the northern soul genre, and this one is no exception. The set compiles a stunning batch of 25 rare soul harmony tracks from the 60's, and they're all by obscure groups who only recorded 45s for ... CD
