(Original mono pressing, still sealed in aged shrink with small holes at the corners.)
Sealed
This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Condition Notes
If something is relevant, we try to describe it in the notes — especially
if it is release or pressing details,
or an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Powerful live material, recorded at a meeting of the Peace & Freedom Party of Syracuse, during a time when Cleaver was facing some of the greatest trials of his life. The recording quality's a bit shaky, but you'll be more than able to grasp what Cleaver is saying, and to hear the raw power ... LP, Vinyl record album
(Mono blue label pressing in a flip-back cover, with ringwear, yellowing from age, clear tape reinforcing the seams and spine, bent corners, and a name stamp and light stains in back.)LP, Vinyl record album
Interviews conducted by Walter Harris, with Noel Coward, Albert Finney, Peter Hall, Sean Kenny, Siobhan McKenna, Harold Pinter, Sybil Thorndike, Kennethy Tynan, and Peter Ustinov. LP, Vinyl record album
Sure, Desiderata was one of the biggest spiritual scams of the early 70s – but there's a monster cut on here called "Courage" that is totally funky! It's got some excellent drums, and an eerie voiceover monologue in a very David Axelrod style! LP, Vinyl record album
Maybe one of the coolest albums of poetry ever recorded – a set that features a young, pre-hippie Allen Ginsberg – delivering his epic poem Howel, plus some other key works too. The young Ginsberg's voice is great – and really fills the works with a lot of bitterness and cynicism ... LP, Vinyl record album
One of the coolest projects ever from sound experimentalist Henry Jacobs – a set that's billed as a comedy album, but which instead has all this weird play with voices, sound effects, and electronics! LP, Vinyl record album
A crazy collection of poetry and jazz – but one that doesn't come from as much of the sort of hipster/beat angle as one would expect from this sort of project! Instead, the interpreters take the high art road – with John Carradine, Hoagy Carmichael, Ben Wright, Roy Glenn and Bob ... LP, Vinyl record album
