This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Great single from our favorite Japanese singer! The cut's got a great rolling jazzy groove, with a deep bassline, nicely plucked guitar lines, and soulful vocals from Monday. As usual, the lyrics are in English, and the writing has a very positive vibe to it. There's 3 mixes on the single, ... CD
This 5 track CD features early work by one of Japan's greatest current soul singers, recorded early in her career, back when she was working with DJ Krush! Krush handled the rhythm tracks and arrangements for the material on the ep, which is released here as part of Universal's "Reproduction ... CD
The first indie release by Amel Larrieux – and a great one! Amel's sounding stronger than ever here – working in stripped-down territory that recalls her earlier work, yet which also put her in the forefront of underground soul artists keeping the genre fresh and strong. After years ... CD
A tremendous little album from reedman Darryl Reeves – jazz at the core, but served up with plenty of cosmic soulful touches too – thanks to help from a great lineup of guest singers! Darryl's work on alto sax is more than enough to make us fall in love with the album – ... CD
The former lead singer from the Brand New Heavies breaks out on her own for this debut LP. The tracks have a straighter, less jazzy approach than you might hope for, and the album was largely self produced, though Dallas Austin contributed a few tracks. Though there's some material that verges on ... CD
A bold statement from this ambitious Chicago group – a righteous assemblage of musicians working in a tradition that's partly linked to the spiritual jazz of an earlier AACM era, but which is also keenly conscious of the underground soul of groups like Fertile Ground! At its core, there's a ... CD
Jose James sounds even deeper than ever here – really moving forward with that amazing voice, and really finding a special space between all the jazz, soul, and funk projects of previous years! The album has James almost emerging as a singer who can span genres and reach out to new scenes ... CD
A really well-titled set from Frankie Beverly & Maze – as the album takes the group right back to the mellow-stepping sound that first made them great back in the 70s! Production's a bit more updated, but still very laidback – and there's a smoothly-grooving glow to the record we ... CD
A legendary album from the Texas scene of the 70s – exactly the kind of set that helps the city of Austin live up to its massive reputation for music! The group's got a wonderful blend of jazz, soul, and funk – a unique blend that reminds us of our favorite funky Fantasy Records sides ... CD
