Age Of Electronicus

LP (Item 5839) Command, 1969 — Condition: Very Good
Gatefold

Nice one! This is one of Dick Hyman's most fantastic LPs, and the one that includes some of his best moogy playing. With the very funky club cut "Give It Up Or Turn It Loose", plus "Both Sides Now", "Kolumbo", "Time Is Tight", and "Green Onions".  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Cover has light wear.)

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

One of the coolest, grooviest moog albums you'll ever hope to buy – a wonderful foray into the new world of synthetic sounds, done by pianist Dick Hyman – who was working in a straight jazz format just a decade before! Ok, since the label makes the claim that this one "Greatly Enhances Lovemaking and Mind Control", we should probably be offering it at a fortune, but it's still going for the same price as the others. Contains "Ultimate Heartbeat" (playable at 33 1/3 and 45 rpm) and "Wind ... LP, Vinyl record album

Scenes & Themes
RCA, 1972. Very Good+
Hugo Montenegro takes on a whole host of soundtrack themes – but updates the music nicely in his 70s electronic style – which features a fair bit of Arp mixed with larger arrangements and strings! The approach isn't as funk-based as some of Hugo's other albums from the time, but still ... LP, Vinyl record album

Best Of Martin Denny
Liberty, Late 50s/Early 60s. Very Good
Not really "the best", but a pretty nice collection of Denny's early work for Liberty – with a groovy photo on the back that shows him working with the group in action, beating on a big conga, while the rest of the band plays exotic percussion!
