Todo Se Vay Poder

LP (Item 576866) Fania, 1984 — Condition: Very Good

...

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Ray Barretto

Hard Hands
Fania, 1972. Very Good
Killer stuff all around! This album's a monster – one of Ray's greatest, with the same sort of Latin Soul groove heard famously on his classic LP Acid. Ray Barretto

Together
Fania, 1971. Near Mint-
An early 70s killer from Ray – recorded right in the same era as most of his best albums! The feel here is strongly in the salsa mode – as Ray steps effortlessly from the Latin Soul era into a whole new decade of musical magic. And like the best of his 60s work, Ray's salsa cooks at a ... Ray Barretto

Rican/Struction
Fania, 1979. Very Good+
A great album of salsa tracks recorded at the end of the 70s – when Ray was returning to the scene after a prolonged hand injury kept him out of music for a while. Despite this time off, though, Ray's in top top form – coming back to basics with a really heavy groove, picking up right ... LP, Vinyl record album

Ray Barretto

Charanga Moderna
Tico, 1962. Very Good+
Stellar Latin grooves! This album is one of Ray's best from the early 60s, and it's an incredible batch of edgey tracks that far outshines most of his other work from the time! For the record, Ray took the standard Charanga format, and updated it by adding sweet jazzy touches, pushing the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Ruben Blades

Metiendo Mano
Fania, 1977. Very Good
Willie Colon declares Ruben Blades as the champ on the cover of this early solo set – and for good reason too, as the album's one of Blades' best! Hector Lavoe

La Voz
Fania, 1975. Very Good
A classic bit of 70s salsa gold from vocalist Hector Lavoe – a record done in close collaboration with Willie Colon, with whom Lavoe had worked on a great run of albums during the late 60s and early 70s! The set's got a slightly warmer and more straightforward feel than some of Willie's ... LP, Vinyl record album

Fania, 1980. Near Mint-
Killer new charanga work from Tipica 73 – a record issued a bit later on their run for Fania, but filled with wonderful tunes that get at all the traditional energy of the group! Bobby Valentin

In Motion
Fania, 1974. Very Good+
A standout 70s session from Bobby Valentin – his last record for Fania, and a perfect example of the strengths that had allowed him to rise up to the ranks of the label's famous All-Stars!
