Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible. All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play
without skipping or flaws. If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove,
you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly — and if it does not,
then you may return it for a full refund.
With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of
surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be
clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we
handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted
otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so
look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.
A beautiful late 70s effort from Brenda Russell, who seems to have been left by the wayside, perhaps because her wonderful almost Free Soul approach to modern, sophisticated, mellow grooves never quite fit into the commercial radio soul realm, or the slow jam scene, though it veered close enough to ... An all-star soul affair produced by Quincy Jones, and featuring the talents of studio greats like Harvey Mason, Billy Cobham, Toots Thielmans, Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour, and many others – not to mention the Brothers themselves! We'll be honest, though, in saying that we really think it's the ... CD
A real classic from the 70s AM soft rock/soul scene – and a record that's surprisingly rewarding this many years later! Gino's working here in territory that's a bit similar to contemporaries like Paul Williams or Nick DeCaro – material that's well-penned, softly sung, and produced ... CD
Massively solid boogie work from Jeffrey Osborne and LTD – still grooving beautifully at the end of the 70s, and working here with top-shelf production from Bobby Martin! The set's got that buoyant LTD groove that was a perfect foil for Osborne's soaring vocals – a sound that never ... CD
It's the late 80s, and Barry White has left behind his string-laden arrangements of the 70s – but the Man himself is still totally great, and finds a way to bring a strong sense of depth to the world of beats, basslines, and keyboards! Instrumentally, the set's pure 80s all the way through ... CD
Amazing stuff from Isaac Hayes! Although Ike had first appeared on LP with the album "Introducing", this was the first record to really expose his true soul genius – and it was also the first release on Ike's successful sub-label at Stax, Enterprise Records. The record shows that ... CD
The underground of Chicago explodes in the mainstream – as Rhino offers the world a dozen soul tunes lifted from the city's hot steppers scene of the past 10 years. (Never mind the fact that by the time this one came out from Rhino, the stepping scene in the city was not what it had been ... CD
Nice 17 track compilation of Minnie's classic work for Capitol! The selection is excellent, and the CD features most of the stuff you'd ever want to have by her, including "Perfect Angel", "Memory Lane", "Lovin You", "Stick Together", "Inside My ... CD
One of the greatest albums to ever sum up the genius of Lou Rawls in the 60s – a brilliant live set put together with the talents of David Axelrod! The record perfectly captures the easy-going soul of Rawls in the early years – a natural approach to his music that made him one of the ... CD
