Lionheart

LP (Item 571879) Harvest, 1978 — Condition: Very Good+
Gatefold
Also available
Kate Bush — Lionheart ... CD 2.99

The young Kate Bush is in fantastic form here – looking a bit goofy on the cover, sure – but firmly establishing that sound that would make the lady a genre unto herself! It's hard to believe a record like this was coming out during major years for punk and disco – but that's also what's made it so timeless over the decades – kind of a fresh chapter of discovery, with that unabashed sense of openness that marked Kate's music in these early years. Titles include "Kashka From Baghdad", "Hammer Horror", "Coffee Homeground", "Fullhouse", "In The Warm Room", "Wow", "Oh England My Lionheart", "In Search Of Peter Pan", and "Don't Push Your Foot On The Heartbrake".  © 1996-2019, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

The LP that followed up Barry's classic pop folk track "Eve Of Destruction".
