Make Up For Lost Time/How Can One Man Live

7-inch (Item 5707) Paula, Early 70s — Condition: Very Good+
Out Of Stock

7-inch, Vinyl record

✈

We love the Montclairs! They were one of the best harmony groups of the early 70s, and they had a nice super-dope style that made their material sound a bit heavier than some of their contemporaries. Both tracks on this one are nice, and feature arrangements by Phil Perry.  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(In a Ronn/Jewel/Paula sleeve.)

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Wondering (voc, inst)
Timmion (Finland), 2019. Near Mint-
The sweet soul vocals of Gerald McCauley sound wonderful here – delivered with this slow, heartbreaking pace that really fits the mellow funk laid down by Cold Diamond & Mink – almost making the whole thing feel like a classic New Jersey/Philly gem from back in the day! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Always sweet soul from this great Chicago group! "Don't Waste Your Time" has a style that's a bit uptempo – kind of proud, and a bit righteous – with some really positive energy. "You Waited Too Long" is sadder, and slower – almost a Curtis Mayfield type ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
