This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
A big one from Billy – with a few tasty guitar/drum moments that have kept the album strong in our hearts longer than we might have thought when it first came out! Titles include "The Stroke", "In The Dark", "My Kinda Lover", "Lonely Is The Night", ... LP, Vinyl record album
A really obscure little set from a group who recorded in Erie, PA at the end of the 70s – but who never issued this music at the time! Penn Central often have an approach that's tight and smooth enough to be on the coast – maybe indie AOR, with some nice slinky touches – but ... LP, Vinyl record album
Fantastic record, and perhaps the best thing that Victor Feldman ever did. He takes his vibes and marimba – which are normally very snoozy in a jazz context – and gives them a nice Now Sound twist, with a cool studio South American feel. He plays with some great LA studio players ... LP, Vinyl record album
Two generations of Ornette Coleman – making incredible music here together! The album's a freewheeling late 60s outing from the senior Ornette – who plays alto, violin, and trumpet here – working with his young son Ornette D Coleman on drums, just 12 years old at the time – ... A great record – and one that's filled with so many wonderful little moments! The whole thing's a very cool, very off-beat set of jazz tracks recorded by vibist Gary McFarland, with a group that includes Jimmy Raney on guitar, Richie Kamuca on tenor, and Steve Swallow on bass – a ... Sparkling modern soul from the lovely Phyllis Hyman – and an album that has the singer picking up the wonderfully smooth groove that had become the Philly International sound of the mid 80s. This format works surprisingly well for Phyllis – quite possibly more so than it did even for ... LP, Vinyl record album
