This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
The funky blue-eyed debut of Rare Earth – an early Detroit combination of soul, rock, and funk! The group really sprang to fame on Motown right after this early album for Verve – but this set may be even harder and heavier than any of their later records – produced by Dennis ... A great second album by the legendary Ronnie McNeir – one of the 70s' most overlooked soul talents! Like his other albums, this one's got Ronnie in a sweet mellow vibe – with some great songwriting and wicked keyboard work that shows that Ronnie was in total control of the overall ... A stone classic – not just from Sam Cooke, but in the genre of "best of" records too! The set's overflowing with classic singles from the legendary soul singers – almost the perfect record to start with if you've ever wanted to sample Sam's genius – that amazing voice, ... LP, Vinyl record album
Sweet grooves from Donna Summer – who was still a rising star at this point in the 70s! The title is an honest one – for an album with songs that look back at 60s and earlier 70s soul songcraft – and even earlier than that – mostly via the groovy backup vocals. So, Ms. ... LP, Vinyl record album
Amazing stuff from Isaac Hayes! Although Ike had first appeared on LP with the album "Introducing", this was the first record to really expose his true soul genius – and it was also the first release on Ike's successful sub-label at Stax, Enterprise Records. The record shows that ... LP, Vinyl record album
An oft-overlooked gem from Parliament – released during the year 1976, and sometimes hidden between monster LPs like Funkentelechy and Mothership Connection – but every bit as great as those two classics! The album's got that tightened-up P-Funk sound that was working so perfectly at ... LP, Vinyl record album
More great jazzy stepping grooves from this Fantasy band. Wayne Henderson's still at the helm on production, and there's some nice cuts, including "I'm A Winner", and the mellow "She's A Lady", plus "Peace Of Mind", "Falling In Love Again" and the title ... LP, Vinyl record album
Nice early 70's record by Joe, with a mix of 70's funk tracks and tracks that have more of his classic southern soul sound from the 60's. Joe's raspy voice is as beautiful as always, and he's got some really sweet material on here like "Cat's Got Her Tongue", "All The Heaven A Man ... LP, Vinyl record album
Their classic double live set from the mid 70s, and as tight a batch of grooves as you'll find on their studio albums! In fact, this one might even be tighter, as it's got a good set of classic tracks performed live, with a sound that's a little bit more uptight and open than the studio ... LP, Vinyl record album
