Wind & Wuthering

LP (Item 563117) Atco, 1976 — Condition: Near Mint-

Titles include "Blood On The Rooftops", "Wot Gorilla", "Afterglow", "In That Quiet Earth", "Your Own Special Way", "All In A Mouse's Night", and "Eleventh Earl Of Mar".  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(Original US pressing, with inner sleeve!)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Amon Duul II

Made In Germany
Atco, 1975. Very Good+
A big international record from Amon Duul – and for good reason, too – as the set's filled with catchy little tracks that have this really cool blend of prog and glam! The style's almost like Roxy Music at points – with the vocals all compressed in the guitars, and this sinister ... LP, Vinyl record album

Bee Gees

Bee Gees 1st
Atco, 1967. Very Good+
Sublime sounds from The Bee Gees – a near-perfect bit of 60s pop, and a record that would set the scene for so many others to come! The cover image here gives you an idea of what's going on – with Neil Young looking away from the rest of the group – as the album's not just the last by Buffalo Springfield, it also really shows the key members striving for a solo voice of their own! Pixies

Doolittle
4AD, 1989. Near Mint-
A defining moment for The Pixies and rock music in general! Doolittle somehow delivers on the rawer, artier promise of Surfer Rosa and Come On Pilgrim, while bringing in much more the irresistible catchiness that the earlier album(s) just hinted at. Rock music just didn't sound like this in 1989, ... LP, Vinyl record album

Pretenders
Sire, 1980. Near Mint-
One of the greatest mainstream rock and roll debuts of all time – and a record that still blows away just about any other later work by The Pretenders! Gandalf

Gandalf
Capitol, Late 60s. Near Mint-
A fantastic lost psych album – with a moody spacey sound augmented by lots of organ, harpsichord, and electric piano! The best cuts are short and echoey – with kind of a trippy pop feel that sounds like post-Brit invasion lyricism, mixed with LA stoner freedom, and a good dash of Love-e ...
