Moondancer

LP (Item 560089) Casablanca, 1979 — Condition: Near Mint-

...

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Love Trilogy
Casablanca, 1976. Very Good
A mid 70s classic from Donna Summer – and a follow up to her huge, chart-toppiong Love To Love You Baby – and once again produced by Giorgio Moroder! Westside Strutters

Gershwin 79
Parachute/Casablanca, 1979. Near Mint-
A late 70s effort to soup up the work of George Gershwin – as you might guess from the title – part of a bit nostalgia wave that seemed to hit right as disco crashed into the mainstream! As with other efforts of this type, the sound is surprisingly good – especially from the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Rare Gems Odyssey

Rare Gems Odyssey
Casablanca, Late 70s. Very Good+
Nice lost funk LP released by Casablanca at the end of the 70's. We don't know much about this group, but we've always loved the track "What Is Funk", which has a tight funky backing, and a sort of call and response vocal about how messed up life can be. Other cuts include "Psychic ... LP, Vinyl record album

Casablanca, 1977. Very Good+
Classic disco from Pattie Brooks – a soaring 70s set that was right up there with the best Casablanca Records grooves of the time! Curtom, 1975. Near Mint-
One of the more obscure sides on Curtom, and a nice nice soul album by Ed Townsend – the man who brought the world the track "For Your Precious Love", plus lots of other soul classics. The sound of this one's very much in the vein of classic mellow Curtom 70's material, and there's ... LP, Vinyl record album
