This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
A beautifully-toned set from guitarist Joe Pass – and a great demonstration of why he was recorded so heavily by Pablo Records during his later years! Joe's sound here is clear and clean, but richly chromatic too – a wellspring of full feelings, but with a great degree of subtlety too ... CD
Joe Pass plays a host of Gershwin-penned material – working in a spare combo with a slightly different sound than usual! Pass' guitar still has that deep, round tone that you'll hear on his best Pablo sides – but the group also features rhythm guitar from John Pisano, who makes for a ... CD
A late solo album from the great Joe Pass on acoustic guitar. Tracks include "Robbins Nest", "Star Eyes", "Shadow Of Your Smile", "There's A Small Hotel", "Just Friends", and the title track "Song For Ellen". CD
Three slices of rare work by Duke Ellington – all recorded previously as semi-private recordings, and issued here in a short-lived 70s set! As you'd guess by the title, the tracks are all in "suite" form – that broader compositional style that dominated Ellington's later work ... CD
A collection of 70s recordings for the Pablo label – with "Sunshine Swing", "Chameleon", "Melody For Thelma", "Intimacy Of The Blues", "Movin' On", "Niles Blues", "Quiet Riots", "I Wonder Why", and "Night ... CD
Features Oscar Peterson on piano, Milt Jackson on vibes, Clark Terry on trumpet and flugelhorn, Ronnie Scott on tenor, Joe Pass on guitar, Niels Pedersen on bass, and Bobby Durham on drums. CD
Beautiful sounds from JJ Johnson and Joe Pass – one of those great stripped-down Pablo Records sessions that were easily some of the greatest moments on the label! Pass was a real star in sets like these – which were perfect for his gentle approach to jazz guitar – and it's great ... CD
The title's not a hokey TV reference or anything like that – but a strong reminder that the Count Basie group was still very much in their prime during the 1970s, thanks especially to the recording talents that the Pablo label brought to records like this! Most of the work here was arranged ... CD
We love the piano of Jimmy Rowles in a laidback setting – as it always seems to bring out the most charm and wit in his style! This date's a perfect example of that mode – as it just features a bit of extra guitar from Joe Pass – no bass or drums at all – which leaves Jimmy ... CD
