This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
Bossa Nova Mancini! What a wonderful idea – the work of Henry Mancini interpreted in bossa jazz format – done here by a tight 60s combo, led by Waltel Branco, and featuring Meirelles on sax, Dom Salvador on piano, and a host of other strong Brazilian jazz players! The tunes are ... CD
Just about nothing could match the sublime quality of Jorge Ben's late 60s or early 70s – so we'll admit that we're quite biased against the work on this set, most of which is collected from the late 80s and early 90s. The roots of the music are still the same for Ben – with lots of ... CD
For the past few years, the UK-based Far Out label has been redefining the sound of Brazilian music. The label's run by DJ Joe Davis – the man who brought the world the Blue Brazil and Brazilica series, and the person who turned the London scene onto Brazilian grooves in a major way. Far ... CD
Beautiful work from trombonist Vittor Santos – a set that glides along with the jazzy gentleness of some of the best bossa jazz sides of the 60s! The bossa-inspired use of the instrument is often far different than that of American jazz – and Santos here draws on a strong legacy from ... CD
2 early albums by Brazilian singer Angela Maria – both of them with a similar theme. Maria sings songs of the world, interpreting Latin material from a variety of sources – working with heavy orchestral backings that are augmented by percussion work, and recorded in a very cool echoey ... CD
A sunny set of samba classics – mostly from the 70s, and featuring work done by some of Brazil's greatest artists of the time! The tracks aren't the rootsy samba of the 70s revival years – but more a mainstream, groove-conscious take on the genre – handled with lots of care on ... CD
One of Bobby Hutcherson's most important albums ever – and an essential piece of "new thing" jazz that ranks up there with such key Blue note sessions of the genre as Tony Williams' album Life Time, Dolphy's Out To Lunch, and Jackie McLean's One Step Beyond! Hutcherson's sound on ... CD
Phil Woods is one of those folks who still sounds great as the years go on – never failing to grab us with his amazing lines on alto sax, and his ever-creative energy on his solos! This album's got less of the Charlie Parker aspects than you might guess from the title – although there's ... CD
A set that's headed up by guitarist Max Light, who wrote most of the material on the set – but one that's got some equally strong contributions from tenorist Noah Preminger, who's got this great way of weaving lines around the guitar – all while getting this deft rhythm accompaniment ... CD
