Blonde On Blonde

LP (Item 558331) Columbia, 1966 — Condition: Very Good
2LP Gatefold
Also available
Bob Dylan — Blonde On Blonde ... CD 4.99

One of the most incredible rock albums of all time – Dylan's sprawling, shambling, poetic genius at it's most revolutionary if you ask us – the landmark Blonde On Blonde! It's got that surrealistic, 4AM and still bursting with creativity kind of feeling that he'd never even try to find again and it's filled with tracks that he comes back to live late in life perhaps more than any other single album. As great as rock music would ever get, this record. Includes "Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35", "Visions Of Johanna", "Pledging My Time", "Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again", "Leopard-Skin Pill Box Hat", "Just Like A Woman" and more. This Sundazed edition on 180 gram vinyl is the first ever reissue of the vinyl in the original mono.  © 1996-2021, Dusty Groove, Inc.
(70s pressing. Cover has some ring and edge wear, and some splitting along the top seams.)

Very Good

  • Vinyl can have some dirt, but nothing major.
  • May not shine under light, but should still be pretty clean, and not too dirty.
  • May have a number of marks (5 to 10 at most), and obvious signs of play, but never a big cluster of them, or any major mark that would be very deep. Most marks should still not click under a fingernail.
  • May not look near perfect, but should play fairly well, with slight surface noise, and the occasional click in part of a song, but never throughout a whole song or more.
  • This is clearly a copy that was played by someone a number of times, but which could also be a good "play copy" for someone new.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A pivotal album for Bob Dylan – a record that continues the Nashville experiment of Blonde On Blonde, but which compresses it a bit more – almost like he's re-folding the electric energy back into the darkness of the spare sound of Times They Are A-Changin! Man, why don't they make records like this anymore? The album's a double-length set that shows all the best freedoms that small groups like this had when working for the majors – a rich blend of jazz rock, soul, and some jamming bits that really go to town over the length of the full 2LP set. ... Sadly, it's really easy to dismiss Santana, if only for his having been elevated to iconic status among hippies and classic rock lovers, in spite of the fact that he made a number of great records.
