This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Gogi Grant sang a fair bit of dramatic pop material in the 50s, but she's nicely laidback and mellow here – working with lush backings from Dennis Farnon, in a moody set of love songs and ballads! The music is filled with plenty of dark corners and indigo hues – and Gogi's vocals have ... LP, Vinyl record album

Moody set of vocals recorded by this obscure Chicago singer. Lurlean got her start at the classy south side Club DeLisa, home to Sun Ra, and a host of other Chicago talents – but by the time of this recording, she'd moved downtown, and had become a classy smoky voiced singer with a good ... If you're a fan of Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross, then you'll dig this set of tracks by the Lambert and Hendricks group with Yolanda Bavan, who replaced Annie Ross in the trio during the early 60's. Columbia, Early 60s. Very Good-
Great jazzy work by this excellent singer – a tight set featuring Oscar Brown Jr. performing jazz material written (mostly) by other composers, shifting the focus away from his earlier records, which have more of his own compositions. Joe Williams is away from Count Basie here, but he's still sounding great – and getting a slightly warmer approach overall – in keeping with the promise of the title!
